RAVAGED BY FIRE
Blaze in Timber Country Adelaide, Dec. 12. About 6000 acres of timber-growing country near Adelaide belonging to the Forestry Department was ravaged by fire. Several woodcutters had narrow escapes and the camps of two families were destroyed.
A thousand volunteer fire-fighters responded to on urgent wireless appeal, and the blaze is now under control.
