Air. and' Mrs. Hubert Fletcher, Wellington, are visiting Christchurch. Mrs. J. Trevethick has returned to Auckland after a visit to Wellington.

Mrs. P. Bruce, Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. R. A. Duncan, who was at the Midland Hotel, went back to Featherston on Sunday. Miss Chaytor, who was the guest of Dr. Ada Paterson, Kelburn, returned to Marlborough yesterday. Miss Joan Ryan, Boulcott Street, who has been the guest of Miss Martin Kennedy, Paekakariki, returned home yesterday. , . • ' Mr. and Mrs. Campbell and family, Wellington, have taken a house at Sumner, Christchurch, for the next five weeks.

Dr. Ada Paterson, Kelburn, will leave for Timaru to-night to attend the breaking-up ceremony at the Timaru High School. Mr. and Airs. R. P. Toss will, Wanganui, are staying at the .Empire Hotel. Mr. Tosswill' will leave to-day for England. Sir Berkeley Sheffield and. his sister, Lady Arthur Grosvenor, London, who have been at the Midland Hotel, left last night for Christchurch. Sir Bruce and . Lady Stewart, Pigeon Bay, intend flying to the Blenheim Air Pageant in their own plane. They will be the guests of Mrs. C. G. .Tesehemaker.

■/ Miss Pat Ryan, Boulcott Street, has left for the Collegiate School breakingup ceremony in Wanganui, where she will be the guest of her aunt, Mrs. P. A. O’Neill.

Miss Kathleen Haire, Wellington, who is at present the guest of Mrs. John MacGlbbon, Fendalton, Christchurch, will leave this week for a visit to Invercargill.

Mr. and Mrs. H. Bishop, Stratford, and Mr. and Mrs. Hablll, Kimbolton, arrived at the Grand Hotel yesterday; Mrs. C. H. Blundell, New Plymouth, is also there.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hamilton, who bare been on a visit to relatives in Christchurch, will arrive in Wellington on Friday on their way back to the Malay States.Miss Joan Louisson, of Dannevlrke, late of Petone, will leave Wellington by the Makura for .Sydney to-day, eq route to Brisbane, where her marriage to Mr. J. Clapton East, formerly of Christchurch, will take place. Mrs. L. S. Talbot, Timaru, arrived at Wellington by the Makura from San Francisco' yesterday inorniiig. Mrs. Talbot accompanied her husband, Dr. Talbot, to London and Edinburgh, where he has been doing post-graduate work for nearly a year past. . Dr. and Mrs. ‘Talbot returned to New Zealand by way of Canada and the United States of America.
