Explosion of Coal Dust OVER TWENTY DEAD Bodies Recovered, Mine Sealed By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received Dec. 11, 6.30 p.m.) Harlan, Kentucky, Dec. 10. Twenty-three men and possibly more were killed by an explosion in the shaft of the Harlan Fuel Company’s mine at Yancey, six miles north of Harlan, yesterday. The miners are believed to have been trapped a mile and a half from the entrance by a coal dust explosion. Twenty-three bodies have been recovered. All the victims are now thought to be accounted for and the mine has been sealed up.
