Mrs. A. D. Morris, Christchurch, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. K. Jf. Johnson, Christcbureh, has arrived on a visit to Vi elliugton. Mrs. 0. Clabburn, Wellington, is In Auckland. Mr. and Airs. TL Nortbey, Sockburn, sailed from Wellington on Friday by the Marama for Sydney. Miss Alice Evans, North Street, Tlmaru, has returned from a visit to Wellington. . . Mrs.Willes, who is at the Midland Hotel, will leave to-morrow for Christchurch. Miss K. Morrison, who has been spending a holiday at the Orient Hotel, will return to Masterton to-morrow. Mr. and Mrs. Gorton, Feilding, who have been spending a few days in Wellington, expect to return home to-day. Miss Jean Webster, Wellington, is the guest of Miss Betty Cotterin, St. Elmo Courts, Christchurch. Miss D. Foster, Christchurch, who has accepted a position in Auckland, is at present the guest of Mrs. Hobbs-Jones, the Terrace, Wellington. Mrs. Sullivan, Miss C. Sullivan, and Mr. H. Sullivan, Wellington, will leave shortly for a visit to Auckland, where they will spend Christmas and New Year.

Recently Miss V. M. Barron, Dunedin, was hostess at a party given In honour of her niece, Miss Alargarct. Barron, who has returned to her home in Foxton after two years’ stay in Dunedin. Among the twenty guests present were several of Miss Margaret’s Training College and Guide friends. Miss Mildred Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Nelson, of Woodville, will return on a visit to her parents by the Makura this morning. Miss Nelson was formerly a dancing pupil of Miss Estelle Bcerc, and later gained experience with Fuller and Williamson revue companies in Australia. Some three years ago she went to the Old Country, since when she lias been appearing in several revue and musical comedy companies both in England, France, and Switzerland.

Riddiford, Featherston, who have been spending several days in Christchurch, have arrived in Wellington., Mrs. Ellis, widow of the late Mr. Oscar Ellis, formerly Id business in Wellington as a dentist, will arrive from Sydney this week to take up her residence In Wellington, where most of her relatives reside. Since the death of Mr. Ellis in London, Mrs. Ellis has been a resident of Sydney.
