Shar'dlow and Dep.-Pres. Hutcheson 41 each, being the only other riflemen to pass 40. At 900 yards President Fellingham and F. W. Costello, 40 each, were top scorers. President Fellingham and H. R. Karori Defence Club The Karori club continued its series of weekly competitions at Trentham on Saturday, with a match at 800 and 900 yards. This was the club’s first long range shoot this season, and it was unfortunate that the.weather conditions were not favourable for these distances. A strong wind varying at quick intervals from about eight feet left to six feet right proved a rigorous test of wind guessing, and more often than not forestalled the anticipations of the most experienced members. G. Parkinson and H. Nickless weathered the conditions most successfully, the former being the only competititor to reach the club standard or “bogey” for SOO and 900 yards. He secures the club trophy for handicap men. P. B. Goldfinch beat H..-V; Croxton on the count back for ■ the scratch trophy. Detailed scores are:— ' 800 900 yds. yds. Hep. Tl. G.
