TELEVISION TRIAL
Transmission Over 600 Miles London, Nov. 9. One of the most successful television experiments was carried out to-day when voice and image were transmitted 600 miles from England to a Copenhagen theatre by Mr. Carl Brissen. He appeared on the screen in Copenhagen as clear and as definite as on a cinematograph sheet, except for a slight flickering, and the voice reproduction was perfect. Up to the present the reproduction of voice and image simultaneously has been carried out only over short distances. At a recent trial between England and Australia, a strip of typewritten matter was “televised” from England and read in Australia.
