ESPERANTO CLUB

The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held recently, in the Y M.C.A., Mr. Bertram Potts' presiding. Letters received from the British Esneranto Association, London, and from tne Universal Esperanto Association at Geneva, gave encouraging information as io the progress of Esperanto m England and on the Continent, where firms were publishing brochures and leaflets regarding manufactures and information for tourists. Regular tours were being organised from England to the Continent, and the use of the auxiliary language was adding much to the pleasure ot the tours- A postcard was received from Czecho-oio-vakia inviting correspondence. After an hour’s class! work and conversation in Esperanto, the members gathered round and joined in singing well-known airs with Esperanto words, among them being a favourite Maori love sonsmost enjoyable evening was brought to a close with the singing of Dio savu la Regou.”
