Page—Page At St. Mark’s Church ou October 26. a marriage was solemnised between Thelma Irene, only daughter of Mrs. Margaret Page, and the iate Henry Robert Huge, of Lyall Bay, and Clarence Hope, only sou of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Page, of Austin Street. The officiating minister was the Rev, H. E. K. Fry. Mr. Lawrence Watkins was at the organ. The church was decorated with white lilies and white roses. The bride, who was given away by Mr. James Leuchars, wore a long gown of parchment satin, made with long tight sleeves, the Skirt falling into soft flares. The embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a small coronet of orange blossom flowers. She carried a shower bouquet of Marechai Neil roses, blush carnations and lily of the valley trails. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Hazel Page, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Cynthia Burge. They wore long Victorian frocks of pink organdie over pink satin with waistbands of velvet to match; their hats being of pink organdie and straw with velvet bows. They carried Victorian posies of shaded pink carnations. Joan Wilson, the flower giri, was dressed in a frock which was a replica of the bridesmaids’, but wore a circlet of blue for-get-me-nots, and carried a tiny posy of the same flowers. Mr. Albert Lcuchars was best man, Mr. William Chick being groomsman. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride's mother, who. received lier guests wearing an ensemble of larkspur blue crepe ninro-. rain, with straw sailor hat to match, with velvet trimmings. She carried n posy of. scarlet carnations. The bridegroom's mother wore a gown of delphinium blue georgette and lace with coatee and tagel straw hat of same colour. She carried a posy of piiik sweetpeas and delphiniums. The bride travelled in a' diagonal cloth coat of royal blue with georgette frock and hat to tone.
