Meeting at Mangamutu Mangamutu W’omen’s Institute meeting held on Wednesday, November 9, was well attended, Mrs. Hamilton presiding. After the “Ode to Friendship had been sung. Stencilling was shown by Mrs. Adnams, tatting bv Mrs. Leech, specimens of fancy needlework by Mrs. Tait and Mrs. Braybrooke. hooked rug-making demonstrated by Mrs. Harwood, flax and raffia baskets by Mrs. Kivell, and use of crepe paper for weaving' by Mrs. Porter. , ~ The competition for the afternoon was the best' jar of flowers, arranged and won by Mrs. Adnams. An enjoyable afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Hobbs, Hodges,and Haverton, Mrs. Porter taking charge of the members’ stall.
