The committee of the Banks Peninsula Racing Club met on Wednesday to discuss the position following on the abandonment of the club’s race meeting, which was to have been held at Motukarara on Saturday. October 29. It was reported that officials of the Canterbury Jockey Club had been approached and no obstacle would be offered from that quarter to the club holding a meeting at Riccarton. It was decided to write to the Minister of Internal Affairs asking for permission to race at Riccarton on Saturday. December 17.
