ENTIRELY DESTROYED

House at Heretaunga FIRE IN EARLY MORNING Fire completely gutted a fourroomed house in Sutherland Avenue, Heretaunga, about 1.30 on Sunday morning. The house was occupied by Mr. R. Wallis, who was awakened by the sound of burning. He managed to snatch a fesy clothes before making his escape. The Upper Hutt Volunteer Fire Brigade was quickly on the scene, but the house was too far gone to be saved. The .building was insured for £4OO iu the State Advances office, but many personal effects were lost.
