Corliss, Guthrie Street, who have been visiting Masterton in connection with the British Musical Society, returned to AA ellington yesterday. Mrs. Ransome Baass, with her small daughter Nancy, arrived from Sydney, by the Maunganui, and is staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Curtis, “Niagaroon,” Petone. Mrs. M. J. Syron, of Masterton, who has been a patient at the Lewisham Hospital, Wellington, for some weeks, lias returned home, and is going to Taranaki for a holiday. Visitors at Caulfield House, Sydney Street, include Mrs. H. B. Williams, Gisborne; Mrs. Rutherford and Mr. and Mrs. Harris, Wanganui; Mrs. Hawken, Hawera; and Mrs. Laird Meredith, Marton. Mrs. W. E. Herbert find the Misses ; Dorothy and Betty Herbert, of Wellington, who have been on an extended visit to Grefit Britain, have left on their return to New Zealand. They intend to break their home journey for a few days at Colombo, where they will transfer to the Orama. The wedding of Dr. Theodora Easterfield, daughter of Professor and Mrs. Easterfield, of Nelson; to Dr. R. J. BHall, medical superintendent of Cook Hospital, Gisborne, will take place in Sydney on Dr. Easterfield’s arrival from England on November 21. Her eldest sister, Miss Daisy Easterfield, is accompanying her to New Zealand to visit her parents after an absence of seven years in England.
