CHILD DROWNED
Playing Beside Creek By Telegraph.—Press Association. Rotorua, Nov. 18. An eighteen months old child, Selwyn Heywood, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Heywood, was drowned on Thursday afternoon at Ngakuru. The child apparently was playing beside a creek near his parents’ home and endeavoured to cross a plank bridge. The mother missed the child, and after a search he was found lying dead in two feet of water near the bridge.
