HEAD-ON COLLISION
Sir Donald McGavin’s Car Involved AWAKINO VALLEY MISHAP By Telegraph.—Press Association, i Auckland, Oct. 31. A head-on collision between tw4 motor-cars, driven by Sir Donald McGavin; surgeon, of Wellington, and Mr. W. T. F. Kells Mason, of Auckland, occurred in the Awakino Valley. Neither driver was hurt, but a woman passenger in Mr. Mason’s car, Miss Mary Flynn, received injuries to her face which necessitated her admission to Te Kuiti Hospital.
The accident occurred about two miles from “The Tunnel” in the Awakino Valley. Sir Donald’s car was travelling from Wellington to Waltomo Caves and the other vehicle was proceeding southward to Taranaki from Auckland.
Both cars were damaged, but Miss Flynn was the only occupant to suffer injury to any extent.
