AUSTRALIAN ACTRESS
Eleventh-hour Engagement PART IN MUSICAL PLAY (Rec. October 30, 5.5 p.m.) London, Oct. 28. The Australian actress, Miss Harriet Bennett, has been chosen at the hour to take a leading part in Wild Violets,” a musical play which is to be produced at Drury Lane Theatre on Monday evening. . The change was necessary owing to the resignation of the former actress occupying the part. It will enable Miss Bennett to make her debut in London, and also to play opposite John Garrick, to whom she was recently married.
