BULLIED INTO WAR
Ex-Kaiser Blames Sons TALKS TO VISITOR Interest in World Events
By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Rec. Oct. 30, 6.30 p.m.) London, Oct 29.
An Englishman who has returned from visiting the ex-Kaiser at Doorn told the Manchester “Guardian” that the ex-Kaiser has changed little except in appearance. He spoke freely of England, but did not inquire after or mention the English Royal family. “You’ve nothing but conference after conference, but nothing happens,” the ex-Kaiser said. He himself never wanted war, but was bullied into it by
his sons. He made a great point of the fact that he never signed the declaration of war. He hoped the Hohenzollern dynasty would revive, but not with him Kaiser.
The ex-Kaiser reads German, French, and English papers daily, and is remarkably informed of current events. He is quite happy in his exile.
