SCHOOL INSPECTORS
Promotions Announced WELLINGTON OFFICE At present, senior inspector of schools in the Hawke’s Bay district, Mr. D. .McCaskill has received notice of his promotion to a similar position in Wellington. He will take up his new duties on February 1 next. Mr. McCaskill commenced his association with the Education Department in South Canterbury, and during the final seven years of his career as a teacher was headmaster at the Waimataitai School, Timaru. His first appointment as au inspector was in Westland, where he was stationed, for over four years. Eight and a half years ago Mr. McCaskill went to Hawke’s Bay, and it was six years later that be was raised, 'to the position of senior inspector.
Other promotions of school inspectors which have been macle by the Public Service Commissioner are:— Mr. W. A. Service, senior inspector at Invercargill, to be senior inspector at Dunedin; Mr. A. Bain, acting-senior inspector at Dunedin, to be senior inspector at New Plymouth; Mr. C. A. Haslam, inspector in Canterbury, to be senior inspector at Invercargill: Mr. T. A. Morland, inspector at Auckland, to be senior inspector at Napier.
