Petone Club’s Competition
The Petone Rifle Club fired a practice match at 300 and 500 yards ranges on Saturday. Although a dull light made sighting somewhat difficult, the conditions were ideal. W. Mclver was again in god form, and registered an excellent 97 off the gun., Mis third and fifth shots at 300 yards and third2at 500 yards were the only ones to mists the bull’s-eye. The members who have just returned from Australia, where mark VI. ammunition is in us<>, found some difficulty in reverting back to mark VII.. and consequently did not do so well.
