It is generally recognised that the disobedience movement is dying under firm handling by the Government. Though the Nationalist press pretends that there are still 60,000 Congress adherents throughout India imprisoned, the actual figure is only 19,000. and is rapidly falling. The majority of those released are refraining from returning to their old ways.
