It is announced elsewhere in this issue that Mr. P. J. O’Regan will deliver an address to-morrow evening in the Dominion Farmers’ Institute on “Edward Gibbon Wakefield, His Colonisation and Land Policies.” _ The lecture will cover Wakefield’s public career and incidental references will be made to the Wakefield family, the lives of whom are so strongly interwoven with the history of New Zealand. Mr. O’Regan will deal with the bearing of Wakefield’s views upon matters of present-day politics.
