CHILDREN’S THEATRE

“Dick Whittington” Pantomime Children will have an early opportunity of again attending their own theatre when the ever-delightful pantomime “Dick Whittington” will be staged by a company of grown-up players. The opening is fixed for November 12, at 2.30 p.m., and it will be presented ou ths following Saturday also. Children are asked to book early and so secure good seats. Tbe prices arc reasonable, the show attractive and all are assured of some first-class fun. The pantomime will be staged in the Concert Chamber. In addition to Dick’s faithful aud clever cat, there will be another animal —half monkey and half bear —who lives on a magic island. This animal is most amusing and does a dance that will, cause plenty of laughter. There are also the fierce Demon King Bad Weather, who is always arguing with Fairy Sunshine; Idle Jack, a naughty sleepy-headed boy, who is always up to mischief; Alice Fitzwarren, daughter of Alderman Fitzwarren, a gentleman suffering with the gout; Cookie, the fat and greedy but goodnatured housekeeper; and Dick himself, who falls in love with Alice and Itccomes Lord Mayor of Loudon. In addition there are fairies, pirates, sailors and magic hula dancers. Mr. F. IL Dawn is the director and Beryl Earle tbe itroducer. Miss May I‘utuam Is in charge of the music.
