Sunday Excursions
Sir, —Your correspondents on the subject of Sunday excursions seem to have missed the whole point of Christianity—namely, that it is a way of life, a code of living, not a mere existence of constant law obeying and church attending. With Christ it was the life that counted, not the observing of the letter of the law, and if we can honestly say to ourselves that by patronising the Sunday excursions we are (1) not depriving any worker of his day of rest or (2£ not dulling the divine spark of God that lies within every one of us, then let us join the mystery trampers. The trouble is that many people find that rigidly keeping to the letter of the law is much easier than carrying Christ's principles into their everyday tasks.—l am, etc., BIBLE CLASS MAN.
