KITTENS ARRIVE
A Parliamentary Event
Few .members of the House of Representatives who returned to the chamber after the luncheon adjournment yesterday were aware of an extraordinary occurrence which happened in their absence and in which tlie chief figure was the favourite cat which ordinarily haunts the precincts of Bellamy’s situated at the other end of the building. Some time before the House resumed for the afternoon, a messenger found that the cat had given birth to kittens in a secluded corner curtained off for visitors who are admitted to privileged seats on the floor of the chamber. The cat and her offspring were removed to quieter and more appropriate quarters.
