PROFESSIONAL BOXING
Parker Knocks Out McEwan By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, Oct. 27. In a professional boxing contest at Timaru to-night, Vince Parker (Timaru) knocked out George McEwan (Invercargill) in the twelfth round. McEwan is the holder of the middleweight title of the Dominion, but this was not at stake. From the second round onward Parker was clearly superior. In the middle stages of the bout he administered severe punishment, and only the condition and gameness of McEwan enabled him to carry on so long.
