He arrived at Auckland by the Monterey. Mr. R. Dundas Smith, Consul-General for Chile in Australia and New Zealand, arrived at Auckland by the Monterey on a consular visit to the Dominion

Mr. D Jones, chairman of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, came to Wellington from Canterbury yesterday He will return by this evening’s ferry Mr. Rene Ledoux, formerly land registrar in the New Hebrides, arrived at Auckland from Sydney by the Monterey. He will make a brief tour of the Dominion before, returning to France. Mr. H. S. Hickman, of the Amalgamated Dental Company, Ltd., Australia and New Zealand, arrived at Auckland by the Monterey for a business visit to the Dominion.

Mr. H. W. Remington, managing director of the Colgate-Palm Olive-Peet Co., Ltd., and Mr. J. V. Moran, director in charge of sales and advertising, arrived at Auckland by the Matson liner Monterey. Mr. Thomas M. Page, solicitor, of Eketahuna, whose death was reported on Wednesday, was the youngest son of the late Mr. J. E. Page, for many years town clerk of 'Wellington. The late Mr. Page was born in Wellington and was educated at the Clyde Quay School and Wellington College. His brothers are Mr. Robert F. Page, of Hawera, Mr. James Page, of Jersey, and Mr. Edward Page, S.M., of 'Wellington, His sisters are Mesdames C. R. Stuart (■Wellington), J. D. Barnett (Day’s Bay), F. C. Buddle (Auckland), and F. R. Eames (Helensville).
