Meeting of Union The monthly meeting of the Hutt W.C.T.U. was held on Wednesday. Mrs. Spencer led the devotions, and the pledge was repeated by all the members. Member were reminded of the appeals from the Willard Home for clothing, also for scarves and comfort bags, to be brought to the next meeting. Mrs. Aidersiey gave a comprehensive report on the recent convention held in Wellington, and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The president gave an interesting account of the Maori race in the earliest days of New Zealand which was much appreciated. Mrs. and Miss I’age were the hostesses for the afternoon. The annual meeting is to be held next month.
