Business Conditions “AN UPWARD TREND” By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Oct 26. ' In opening the conference of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand to-day, the Mayor, Mr. G. W. Hutchison, expressed the opinion that business conditions showed a slight upward trend. ~ . The improvement in’the trading position was definite, Mr. Hutchison continued, the surplus of exports in the last eight months having been £13,000,000. He said he had reached the conclusion that there would soon be a definite shortage of houses. The land agency business would be among the first to recover from the depression.
