SENSE OF FAILURE
A Danger in Education A warning against, permitting a schoolboy to regard himself as a failure was uttered by Mr.. T. B. Strong, Director of Education, Auckland. JO do that, lie said, was to make the boy start with a liamlicnp when be went to work. He had it settled in his mind that lie was more or less a “dud.” It was the duty of those who bad to do with the education system to make the children happy. How could anyone be happy when he had to carry through tlie early part of life tlie burden of feeling that he was a failure?
