YESTERDAY’S WEATHER
Fine but Overcast in City The weather was fine in Wellington yesterday, although overcast and misty conditions continued. The wind was from the south. A light northerly wind and fine weather prevailed at Auckland, but the sky was cloudy and threatening in the afternoon. Rain continued at Christchurch, but in the evening it showed signs of clearing up. The wind was light from the south-west, and the thermometer registered 51 degrees. sThe weather was fine at Dunedin, with more cloud than sunshine, and a fresh easterly breeze.
