Wellington-built Launches.— Many new yachts and launches have been built in and around Wellington this winter, Top: The framework of a new 14-foot V- design launch which is being built as a spare-time hobby by a Petone resident. An engine taken from a light lorry will supply the motive power. Lower: A 32-foot "fishing boat which has taken two men six weeks to build at Eastbourne. She has a 10-foot beam and will be fitted with an 18 h.p. engine. This boat will probably be launched this week. —“Dominion photos.
