No Licenses After March CITY COUNCIL DECISION Street fruit stands are to go. By an almost unanimous decision the City Council, sitting as a finance committee, decided last evening not to grant licenses after March 31 next. Councillor W. Duncan, who moved the motion, said that it was time street fruit stands, which were an eyesore to citizens, were removed. The Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, remarked that the council could not afford to lose revenue this financial year. Councillor Duncan: Give them six months’ notice. This it was agreed to do.
