CLEARING HOUSE OF IDEAS.
It is hoped to make this column a sort of clearing-house of ideas for amateur societies. Almost every play that is produced discloses some technical difficulty or other which has not been met with before. Sometimes these diffi- , culties are overcome. Sometimes they are not. The difficulty one society has just been up against may be facing some other society sooner or later. I should, be glad to hear from producers and stage managers in this respect so that technical experiences may be exchanged, and the capacity of each society broadened by the experience of others. Details regarding the organisation, present and future activities of amateur dramatic and playreading groups will be welcomed for inclusion in this column. 'Letters should be addressed to the writer, care of The Dominion.
