ROAD CYCLING RACE

Palmerston-Wellington AGE AND HANDICAP RULES .Restrictions regarding the age of competitors and the handicap limit for this year’s Palmerston North-Wellington road cycling race, which were decided upon at a recent meeting of the Wellington Amateur Cycling Centre, were reviewed again last evening at a further. meeting, when business in connection with the forthcoming event was discussed. The race will now be open to competitors who are 17 or over, and the handicap limit has been left to the discretion of -the handicapper. At its previous meeting the centre decided that competitors should be 18 or over, and that the maximum handicap should be 45 minutes. This led to many protests, and several letters were, received at last evening’s meeting urging the centre to reconsider its decision, Tim centre did this, and riders of 17 or over will now be able to compete.
