WORKERS ON RELIEF
Labour Movement Section MEMBERSHIP FIGURES To date there are 5000 financial members of the Relief Workers’ Section of the Labour Movement, according to a statement made by the organiser to a meeting of the Wellington branch in the Trades Hall last evening. Of this number, 1186 were in Wellington, the remainder comprising the branches at Wanganui, Tawa Flat, Eastbourne, Johnsonville, Ngahauranga, Masterton, Carterton, Martinborough, Greytown and Featherston. He also stated that inquiries regarding the movement had come from many parts of the Dominion. A protest against the use of the Uniemployment Bureau as a source of information by the police was voiced at the meeting.
