Forbes, announced tliat the next session of Parliament would open on Thursday, September 22. Cabinet has been engaged for some time upon the preparation of legislation to be brought down next session, and it is anticipated that a fairly large amount of work will be presented to Parliament. Mr. Forbes said that although it was not considered there would be any further need for einergency legislation, the Government would introduce several measures whose appearance had been delayed on account of the recent pressure of business.
