HANDKERCHIEF TEA
Mrs. C. M.. Martin was hostess at an enjoyable handkerchief tea for Miss Joan Wright on Wednesday afternoon. Progressive bridge was played, the winner being Mrs. Pope, and the consolation prize going to Mrs. La Trobe. Mrs. Martin wore a charming winecoloured velvet with small beige fleck. Miss Wright wore red crepe-de-chine with white spots, and shoes and fiat to tone. The rooms were beautifully decorated with bowls of Iceland poppies and polyanthus. Some dainty handkerchiefs were presented to the guest of honour. Among those present were Mesdames Wright, Pope, La Trobe, Macßryde, Twhlgg, Mason, Moss, Buxton, Bradshaw, Riley, Misses L. La Trobe, L. Tansley, M. Macassey, M. Frazer, P. Wright, T. Gill, N. Wheeler, and V. Cotton.
