WOMEN’S HOCKEY
Team for N.Z. Tournament MISS SWINBURNE CAPTAIN At a meeting of the Wellington Ladies’ Hockey Association this week the following representative team (selected by Mr. A. Stratton) to represent Wellington at the Dominion women’s hockey championship was approved:— Misses L. Dick (Ramblers), K. Miller (College Old Girls), M. Huggins (Training College), Mrs. I*. Hcndle (Hutt). Misses A. Lucena (College Old Girls), B. Charles (College Old Girls), A. Scott (College Old Girls) M. West (Hutt), 11. .McLellan (College Old Girls). M. McColl (Training College) D. Foreman (Hutt), S. Swinburne (College Old Girls), M. Fraser (Hutt), P. Hilklo (College Old Girls), and M. Wilkins (Swifts). Miss S. Swinburne was appointed captain and Miss L. Dick vice-captain. Miss M. YVilkins will act as manageress to the team. The team will leave for Dunedin ou Wcdnesdaj- next. YVellington will meet a strong team in Southland A in the first match, and another side which may extend Wellington is Otago A, As Mr. S. Brugh is unable to travel to Masterton to-morrow. Mr. C. E. Gardiner will carry out the duties of Wellington referee in two YY’ellington v. YVairarapa women's hockey matches.
