Lady Findlay is visiting Christchurch. Mrs. Mirams, of Dunedin, is visiting Wellington. Mrs. Brocklehurst, Napier, is visiting Wellington. *Mr. and Mrs. Summerell, Christchurch, are on a visit to Wellington. Dr. T. N. and Mrs. Usher have returned from the South Island. Miss T. A.' Hartley, of Auckland, is visiting Wellington, Mrs. L. P. Blundell and her granddaughter, Miss Alisa Nelson, are visiting Christchurch. Miss Melicent Grose, Wellington, who is the guest of Mrs. C. M. Ollivier, Christchurch, will return home on Thursday. Miss Eileen Roache, Wellington, has completed the L.A.B. (Licentiate of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London). Miss Betty Hilliard, Christchurch, will arrive in Wellington on Friday. During her visit to the North Island she will fulfil several musical engagements. Mrs. F. A. Peppier, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch, who has been in Wellington in connection with the awarding of t the Carnegie Scholarship, has returned to Christchurch. She was accompanied by Miss Nancy Parsons, the Canterbury candidate. Many people in Wellington will be interested to know of the marriage which will take place on Thursday, September 1, at Lansdown, Masterton, of Dr. Roland Phillips Turner, of Hamilton and formerly of Wellington, son of Mr. Phillips Turner and the late Mrs. Phillips Turner, and Miss Jean Drummond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Drummond, Lansdown.
