Broadcast News Sessions

Sir, —The quantity of news put over the air from 2YA -has dwindled, till there is little worth listening to, but on Wednesday evening a rare budget was given, and added to quantity, the quality wa» there, and the announcer, though a relieving official, was quite a success at the jab. If the same quantity was given every evening, the news session would b» well worth the 30/- license fee. The board have allowed ' another interesting subject to disappear from the broadcast. Last year, we were informed weekly, by -a practical gardener, about all branches of gardening, -but now, when the season is right here, no advice on ths subject is forthcoming, and young gardeners are anxious to be advised on different phases of the business. Might I suggest that the board give us a quarter of an hour weekly on the subject of home gardening.—l am, etc., LISTENING IN. Tuhua, August 12.
