Dominion Championship WELLINGTON’S TEAM The solo selector for Wellington, Mr. 0. A. Willis, has chosen the following .harriers to represent Wellington Province at the New Zealand cross-country championships, to be held at Christchurch, on August 27: —G. Bayne (Hutt Valley), P. Wilson (Olympic), G. Prosser (Brooklyn), A. L. Stevens (Scottish), L. Hack (Masterton), A. Barclay (Brooklyn). Emergencies: O. B. Roberts (Brooklyn), F. B. Silver (Scottish). At a si>ecial meeting of the harrier^ subcommittee, presided over by Mr. Willis, chairman, last evening, final arrangements in connection with the departure of the Wellington team to leave on August 25 were made. Remits to be presented at the roundtable conference of harrier centres on the eve of the championships were drawn up. The principal Wellington remit will be the proposal to establish a national marathon race, to be held yearly under New Zealand championship conditions. The remit will advocate the holding of the event in early spring, possibly at the end of September.
