Nelson’s Lord Rutherford INQUIRIES FOR PORTRAIT By Telegraph.—Press Association. Nelson, August 15. Acting on the advice given by the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, during an' address in Christchurch, the Nelson College Old Boys’ Association has cabled to London inquiring atjput the possibilities of securing a. replica of Oswald Birley’s portrait of Lord Rutherford, of Nelson, which was recently ordered by the Royal Society and hung at Burlington House. The association for some months past has been endeavouring to secure a portrait of the famous scientist.
