HALF AN HOUR LATE
Incoming Limited Express DELAYED AT TAIHAPE Delayed at Taihape, the Limited express was over half an hour late when it arrived in Wellington yesterday morning. It arrived at Thorndon at 10.15 a.m., instead of 9.31 as scheduled. The delay at Taihape was caused by a shunting engine becoming derailed near the locomotive depot. This prevented one of the engines of the Limited from reaching the coal and water supply, and it was a considerable time before the line was cleared.
