Scots Tournament Finals Final bouts in the Scots College boxing tournament were fought in the college gymnasium on Saturday evening. Some good boxing was seen, and Edmeades, who beat Lamberg in the 751 b class, was awarded the Wellington Boxing Association’s medal for the most scientific boxer. Mr. E. Perry was the referee. Mr. J. R. Sutcliffe, headmaster of the college, explained that boxing had been made compulsory at the college because the authorities considered that a boy should know something of selfdefence, and for its physical and moral benefits. Each class had been subdivided according to the ability of the contestants, with a view to matching the boys evenly. Detailed results are:— 551 b.
