Twelve Months’ Imprisonment CASE OF RUSSIAN SARGEFF By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, August 12. George Sargen, who was found guilty of being in possession of a bomb and gelignite with intent to commit a crime, was sentenced to-day by his Honour Mr. Justice Smith to twelve months’ hard labour. His Honour said it had not been proved that'prisoner was an active member of any organisation whose avowed object was the destruction of society, but it was impossible to regard bls offences lightly* In view of his good record only half the full penalty would be imposed.
