i Enthusiastic First Meeting I ‘ •••■*< ■■■■■■ ’ I ' ’/' : . .'■ ■■'■ ■; ■' ... ■' Twenty enthusiastic young men and Women Attended the first meeting of the proposed Y.W.C.A. Dramatic Club on Thursday evening. Some discussion took place as to the object of such a club, and the aim of the British Drama League "to eneburage dramatic art for its own sake, and as a means to intelligent recreation’! was suggested as a basis.’* ■■ • ■ : ,A further object proposed was the production of plays,, the proceeds of which would be donated to some worthy object; Messrs. Heaton and Smith, Misses Howard, Ewing, and Bridgman were appointed to a sub-committee to prepare a rough draft of the constitution to be pr&sehtcd/to a meeting to be held next Wednesday at 7.30 pm., when Miss Helen Gard’ner has consented to talk to the gtoup on the formation and possibilities of such a club. The membership roll has not yet closed, and any who are interested in the aims of the club are asked to communicate with the secretary of the Y.W.C.A.
