ACROSS DESERT BY AIR
New Service to Bagdad (Rec. August 12, 5.5 p.m.) Official Wireless. Rugby, August 11. Imperial Airways will open on September 5 a new desert air service which will save travellers the discomfort of two days’ journey by desert car between Palestine and Iraq. It will make the journey from Bagdad to Galilee in five hours and the east-bound flight from Ramleh to Bagdad in eight hours. The service will make connection with steamships and will be operated by Avro 10 air-liners.
