Results of Competitions

, Entries for the Wellington Corps of the St. John Ambulance Brigade competitions, which have now been completed, were unusually numerous. Dr. PiattsMills and other district officers were the judges nnd the winners are as follow:— Wellington Hardware Cup (open to Nursing_ Divisions) : Hutt Valley Division (Misses Lewthwaite, .Tones, Bowles, Low). Wellington Merchants’ Association Cup (open to Men's Ambulance Division) : Petone Division (Privates Collins. Trigger, Smith, Shugg). Miss M. Griffiths’ Cup (open to individual members of the corps) : Private McKeown. Dutton Cup (teams of two to be drawn at competition) : Privates Smith and McKeown. Brigade Appointments The Chief Commissioner for the Dominion has approved of the fallowing appointments in the Brigade:— Napicf-Port. Ahuriri Railway Division: Dr. Harold H. Barnett, F.R.C.S. Ed., to be Divisional Surgeon; Eric D. McArthur to be Divisional Superintendent, vice W. J. Marsh to Reserve. Nelson Division: Dr. David C. Low, M.D., F.R.C.S., Ed., to be Divisional Surgeon ; Ralph A. Stedman to be Divisional Superintendent, secretary and treasurer. The formation of the Napier-Port Ahuriri Railway Cadet Ambulance Division has also been provisionally approved. Arrangements have been completed for the formation in Wellington of two cadet divisions, to be known as the St. Paul’s Crusaders Cadet Nursing. Division . and the Miramar Cadet Nursing Division.
