Wellington Appointments

CHANGES IN THE STAFF

It was announced yesterday that Mr. K. A. Henderson has been appointed District Public Trustee, Wellington, in succession to Mr. G. E. Miller, who has been appointed Deputy-Superintendent of the State Advances Office. Mr J. Byrne has been appointed assistant solicitor, Public Trust head office. Mr. T. F. H. King has been appointed assistant controller of the Estates Division of the head office. Mr. C. Freyberg has been appointed District Public Trustee, Palmerston North.

Mr. W. M. Egglestone has been appointed District Public Trustee, Hawera. Mr. Henderson was educated at Wellington College and later at Victoria University College, from which he graduated in law. His early training was received in Wellington law offices, and he joined the staff of the Public Trust Office in October, 1919, on his return from active service with the N.Z.E.F. In December, 1921, he was appointed to the control of the Gisborne branch, and this positiou he held until his appointment, in November, 1929, to the position of District Public Trustee at Palmerston North, where he has since been stationed. On the inception of the rural intermediate credit system in 1928, Mr. Henderson was appointed District Intermediate Credit Supervisor at Gisborne and chairman of the Poverty Bay District Rural Intermediata Credit Board, and he has acted in similar capacities in the administration of the system in the Manawatu district.
