People and Horses at Trentham Yesterday.—The Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting was continued in fine weather yesterday, with a satisfactory second day attendance. (1 to 5): Snapshots from the lawn, showing enthusiasts—many clad in fur coats for the day was coldeither consulting their race cards or watching the totalisator figures. (6): H. Wiggins, on Retract, winning the Parliamentary Handicap with a fine last-minute sprint Fast Passage finished second and Little Doubt (shown running last) closed up sufficiently to dead-heat with Joie de Val for third place (7): Royal Reign (second) leading Town Beauty High Heather Hard Gold (both Jumping), and Okapua (the winner) over the second to last fence in the Mariri Hack Steeplechase. (8) Kotaki Eka leading Gay Court (on right) and Night Recital to the winning-post in the Seatoun Handicap. -"Dominion" photos.
