QUAINT ORNAMENTS

Bracelets and Necklets BEADS UNPOPULAR Dominion Special Service. (By "Mavis.”) Loudon, May 4. Some quaint ornaments are being worn. Beads are out of fashion, but bracelets and necklaces are very much in favour —so experts have devised a new style of necklet made from a combination of dress materials, steel rings, and crocheted beads. At nearly all the collections shown during the last week, the mannequins have worn anything from eight to a dozen narro.v slave bangles, made of bronze, or of metal —either chromiumplated or black-japanned. An alternative to these is one wide metal bracelet which looks rather like a handcuff.
